16th Annual Butte Bouldering Bash (Wrap up)

Year 16! And what a year it was!

This year we had around 115 climbers come out to compete and climb, and roughly 150 people in total. We had a great turnout, with lots of new faces mixing in with old friends!

We really appreciate all the participants, sponsors, and dedicated volunteers who contributed to the success of this year's event. It's an awesome thing to see the community come together to support a great local cause - the Southwest Montana Climbers Coalition.

In the morning we had registration, pop up shops, and plenty of time for greeting old friends, meeting new ones, answering questions, and getting people acquainted with the surrounding bouldering areas.

After a safety meeting, a review of the rules, and a list of thank you's, over 100 climbers set off into the woods to explore and climb the boulders. Complete your top 10 sends, or as many as you can manage! With over 375 problems across Superbia, The Druthers, and The Trailer Boulders, there was plenty to go around.

And back to the lot for pulled pork sandwiches, celebrations, awards in all nine categories, and a great raffle. A special thank you to Corey Piersol for smoking the pork and feeding the crowd!
